Range Shift Duty for May 29-30 Launch

Thanks to you, our MARS members, our launches have grown way too popular to run informally as we have done in the past.  Because of this we are asking all of you to volunteer for a shift at LCO occasionally.  Please use the form below to select a short hour at the button in our next launch weekend. Also we can also use help during setup and teardown. Send a note to president@marsclub.org to help with this task as well.

Description of LCO Duty
Some of you may be intimidated by LCO duty.  In fact its very easy, but very important.

The LCO...

Allows people on the range to load or recover their rockets when it is safe to do so.

Announces the next flight using the information on the flight card and make a kid’s day.

Checks to make sure no aircraft in the sky close by (sky clear).

Make sure nobody is in harms way in the range and everyone is paying attention for a heads-up type flight.

Count down and push the button.

You will have the help of the experienced club members all along the way!
