Day 1 Highlights - Soggy and Beany
Well Kudo's to the brave fliers to fought against the elements at NYPOWER. Several lines of showers moved through the field most of the the morning and things didn't dry out for good until after 1pm. Also light winds on the grounds hid the 20-30 mph winds aloft that pushed flights into the east bean fields even with healthy rail angles to the winds. Fortunately the forecast looks much better for Saturday and Sunday.

A view of our cracker jack and meticulously organized LCO station.

Our BFR staff did not have much to do Friday so we spent our time on more pressing opportunities.

The Gardener family prepping a rocket on the pad. Is that duct tape on that rocket?

Scott and Howie before the bottle dragrace on Skidmarks.

Pad problem, only 1 rocket gets lit. Bummer.

Make your plans to attend the 15th NYPOWER. As always this launch will provide the unique experience that only NYPOWER provides. Friendly great rocketeers, huge mowed field, WWII warbirds in the air and on the ground and a great time for all.
HAG burgers sizzling on the grill, raucous laughter from the Dumas Bros camp, oohs and ahs from the spectator gallery and laughing children make for a glorious and happy weekend. We even fly rockets!
The launch is
held just minutes from Geneseo which boasts a large variety of dining
options, two hotels and quick access to a major interstate highway.
The suburbs of Rochester are about 25 minutes away up interstate I-390.
