BFR APPROVAL

BFR Notes, Comments and Requirements

We ask as we always have, that when you are going to fly a complex rocket (a cluster in the K impulse or better) or a rocket with a total impulse of a “L” or “M”, that you pre-register the rocket with the BFR committee.

Single-motor L/M and complex K require approval to fly at NYPOWER from the BFR team. The team will review your design and flight profile, but the rocket will still require regular safety check-in inspection before flight.

Your can submit your BFR information online in our NYPOWER BFR Forum.

NOTE ON HP STAGING:
The BFR commitee may REQUIRE completely redundant recovery systems for certain 2-stage HP flights.

Also certain HP 2-stage flights may be grounded depending on wind speed and direction at the event.
