The annual banquet will be held for the eighth time at the Yard of Ale restaurant in Piffard. Located about two miles from the entrance to the flying field, the Yard of Ale provides MARS with a private room and sit-down dinner service. The wait staff provides drink service (cash bar, please bring cash to make everything easy!) before and during the dinner. We will have about an hour of conversation, drinks and appetizers while everyone arrives and then the sit down dinner. Afterwards, please plan to stay for the famous MARS awards ceremony and year-end wrap up.
We will again hold the popular raffle. All proceeds from the raffle go to support the club. Do you have a kit you’re never going to build? Motor hardware you’ll never use? Please consider donating it to your club- bring it to the dinner and add it to the pile!
1. 10 oz Prime Rib, baked potato.
2. Chicken Picatta: mushrooms, capers and garlic in a lemon butter sauce.
3. Atlantic Salmon: baked with a maple-Dijon glaze and roasted apples.
4. Seafood Angel Hair Pasta: shrimp, scallops, crab and mussels, tossed in a garlic-Parmesan cream sauce, and angel hair pasta
All selections include garden salad, dinner rolls, fresh vegetables, potato, dessert and coffee/tea.
Children: The Yard of Ale has been very accommodating with kids menu choices for those who don’t wish to order from the menu options listed above. Please contact Nat at (wingarcher AT gmail Dot com) and we will discuss the options via email and will send a PayPal invoice separately, or you can pay MARS for the child’s meal at the dinner. Please do NOT contact the restaurant directly.
