Our 2023 Cleanup party was this past Saturday and what a beautiful day it was!
In Attendance: sorry if we missed anyone
Bill and Tom got a bit of a late start pulling out the club trailer (Bill forgot the hitch) with that resolved everyone dug in. Team McCortney having the most experience with the pads jumped right into disassembly and lubing the pads. Dave Plankenhorn being no stranger to the voodoo that is the yellow jacket pads started on those.
Team MacNeal brought the monster power washer and some MAGIC cleaning solvents along with Dave, Larry and Don they managed to not only unpack the rails (which turned out to be a game of Tetris) they managed to clean off last years rail grime in record time!
Tom McCarthy and Bill had an adventure with the BFR towers setting up solar panels and batteries. Since Bill is on the museum grounds crew they pulled out the towers and Bill mowed the entire back area before putting everything away. Tom reports the solar chargers are now functioning perfectly.
Analise Clune ran into Geneseo and picked up Pizza for lunch.
MaryBeth and Bill later discussed with the Wadworth family a location and logistics for a more permanent storage unit in the back of the museum. The museum is more than happy for us to install a container so long as we do it when the ground is solid.
