Report of Officers:

Membership:  64 paid  members

Treasurer:  going to look into getting out paypal fees lowered by proving that we are a 501c3.

New Business:

President:  Waiver has been summited for the year. Bill C. reached out to Ben and Elaine Russell to give an introduction class on mixing and casting your own motors. This is a very basic class to give you an overview of motor making. If there is a big enough interest in the advance class then we could look into holding a class but will be $350 a person. MaryBeth stated a motion to wave the NYPOWER fee for Ben and Elaine because they are going to give the class for free. There was a second and the motion was carried. May and June we will be doing some competition flying to get prepared for NARAM. Now that we are a Tripoli prefecture we can file for a $500 grant for equipment MaryBeth made a motion to buy another sector box for the Wilson system Dennis J. second the motion carried. Tom M. suggested that we look into some kind of poster for NYPOWER that we could possibly sell.

Equipment:  Need some kind of mounting area or bracket for the clubs fire extinguishers in the trailer. Dennis, Bill, and Tom are looking into a new solar cell setup for charging the batteries for the away pad.

Old Business:  Summited paperwork to become a Tripoli club on Feb 12^th.  MARS was approved to become the newest Prefecture Tripoli of Western New York 162. We had a ton of support letters from the east coast. Dennis J. will be the Prefecture for the club and Greg will be the sectary that is all that is required for Tripoli. This will let people fly research motors on the field and only thing that we will have to change is move some of the pads back a little.

NARAM/NYPOWER

Tom M. found a food vendor for NARAM will be Rocket Dogs and the food vendor for NYPOWER will be Kozy Kitchen. Need some fun fly ideas for NARAM.
